Associate Financial Analyst
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Onsite)

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Associate Financial Analyst to support financial operations across a diverse renewable energy portfolio, including wind, solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and distributed generation (DG).
This role is responsible for end-to-end financial support, combining data-driven analysis, reporting, and transactional execution such as purchase order (PO) creation and invoice processing. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel capabilities, a solid foundation in financial analysis, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders (POs) and support invoice processing and payment activities
- Perform cost tracking and budget analysis for an approximate $8M annual operating budget
- Analyze budget vs. actual performance, identifying variances, financial risks, and optimization opportunities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reports across multiple datasets and systems
- Support environmental compliance-related payments to ensure adherence and avoid penalties
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to collect, validate, and reconcile financial data
- Support financial activities across renewable energy assets (wind, solar, BESS, DG)
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory), including:
- Advanced formulas and functions
- Pivot tables
- Handling and analyzing large datasets
- Proven experience in financial analysis (preferred over purely AP/PO-focused roles)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate financial insights
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, datasets, and deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in renewable energy, utilities, or related industries
- Exposure to budget management, forecasting, or cost tracking
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems or advanced data tools
Work Breakdown
- 30–50%: Purchase order creation and invoice/payment processing
- 20–30%: Stakeholder and vendor communication, data collection and validation
- ~30%: Financial analysis, reporting, and insights generation
