Junior UI/UX Engineer
Location: Dania Beach, FL (Primarily Remote with a 2-3 days a month onsite)
Job Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000
Join a growing digital engineering team responsible for building customer-facing web experiences used by millions of travelers. This team develops and supports modern web applications, booking experiences, confirmation flows, and customer communications across multiple digital platforms.
We are seeking a Junior UI/UX Engineer with a strong foundation in modern front-end development who is eager to grow within a collaborative engineering environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building polished user experiences, learning from experienced engineers, and contributing to high-visibility digital products.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain customer-facing web applications using React, JavaScript, Node.js, and Next.js
- Support feature development, bug fixes, UI enhancements, and testing efforts
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and senior engineers
- Participate in agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, and team collaboration meetings
- Help improve responsive web experiences and accessibility compliance
- Work within a designated product area while receiving mentorship and technical guidance
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of front-end development experience
- Experience with React.js and modern JavaScript development
- Exposure to Node.js and Next.js
- Understanding of responsive web development principles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript
- Familiarity with UI component libraries
- Exposure to accessibility standards and best practices
- Experience working within agile development teams
- Previous work on customer-facing applications or digital products
