Title: Jr. IT Project Manager
Location: West Palm Beach, FL (3x Onsite per week)
Type: Direct Hire
Summary
Our client is seeking a highly organized and motivated Junior IT Project Manager with strong Microsoft Project experience to support and lead complex initiatives across multiple business and technology workstreams. This individual will assist in driving project execution, maintaining project schedules, coordinating cross-functional activities, and ensuring projects remain on track from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to continue developing their project management expertise within a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support project plans using Microsoft Project for various IT and business initiatives
- Assist with building project schedules including milestones, task sequencing, dependencies, and resource tracking
- Utilize Microsoft Project functionality to manage timelines, dependencies, and project reporting
- Support project execution activities while ensuring alignment to scope, timelines, and business objectives
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to track deliverables and project progress
- Monitor project status, identify potential risks or blockers, and escalate issues when necessary
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and documentation efforts
- Maintain project governance documentation, reporting standards, and project artifacts
- Track project metrics and support overall project performance reporting
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to project planning and execution methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- PMP certification preferred or in progress
- Strong experience in IT Project Management or Project Coordination roles
- Strong experience with Microsoft Project required
- Understanding of project scheduling methodologies, task dependencies, and critical path concepts
- Experience supporting project plans, timelines, and multiple concurrent initiatives
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
- Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities effectively
- Self-starter mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within project management disciplines
