Job Title: Engineering Manager- Voice & Cloud Services
Location: Hybrid.
Job-Type: Direct Placement
Salary Range: 130k to 160k
Position Overview:
Overview
Lead and mentor a software development team while remaining hands-on in architecture, coding, and delivery. Partner with Product and Project teams to deliver secure, scalable software solutions while ensuring compliance with ISO and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers.
- Drive Agile development practices and high-quality software delivery.
- Provide technical leadership across web applications, APIs, microservices, and legacy systems.
- Establish and maintain SDLC best practices, including code reviews, CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/27001 and support audit readiness.
- Guide architecture decisions focused on scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Support telephony and VoIP integrations, including SIP and real-time audio processing.
- Collaborate with Product, Project Management, and stakeholders to prioritize and deliver business objectives.
- Manage hiring, performance reviews, team capacity, and workforce planning.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- 2+ years of software engineering leadership experience.
- Experience with full-stack development, APIs, Git, and cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
- Experience with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001/27001 or similar compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with VoIP, SIP, and real-time audio processing.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and regulated environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Delphi, C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, and React.
- SaaS product development experience.
- DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Experience with cloud telephony platforms such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or Twilio.
- AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
- Experience with public safety, emergency services, or highly regulated software environments.
