Junior Cybersecurity Analyst
Location: South Florida (Hybrid – 2-3 Days Onsite Initially)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6-Month Conversion)
Conversion Salary: $85,000 – $100,000
Overview
We are seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join a growing cybersecurity team supporting a rapidly expanding technology-driven organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career cybersecurity professional who wants hands-on exposure to vulnerability management, security operations, incident analysis, cloud security, and threat intelligence while helping build and mature a cybersecurity program from the ground up.
This role is ideal for someone with prior Security Operations Center (SOC) experience who enjoys investigating security findings, analyzing vulnerabilities, monitoring security events, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve overall security posture.
What You’ll Do
Vulnerability Management
-
Monitor and analyze vulnerabilities identified through cloud security, endpoint security, and security monitoring platforms

Determine severity, business impact, and remediation priorities
-
Differentiate true positives from false positives
-
Create reports and communicate findings to application and asset owners
-
Track remediation efforts and ensure vulnerabilities are resolved within established SLAs
Security Monitoring & Incident Analysis

Monitor security alerts and events across cloud, endpoint, and web environments
-
Investigate suspicious activity and security incidents
-
Analyze potential system compromise and document findings
-
Escalate incidents and collaborate with technical teams during response efforts
-
Assist with post-incident reviews and security improvements
Threat Intelligence & Security Operations
-
Monitor emerging threats, CVEs, and industry security advisories
-
Assess applicability of newly disclosed vulnerabilities to the environment
-
Support continuous monitoring initiatives and security operations processes
-
Contribute to the development of future SOC capabilities within a cloud-native security environment
Identity & Access Management
-
Review access-related security findings
-
Assist with user access governance and security monitoring
-
Support ongoing security compliance initiatives
Required Qualifications
-
1-4 years of cybersecurity experience
-
Previous experience in a SOC, Security Operations, or Cybersecurity Analyst role
-
Experience with security monitoring, alert triage, and incident investigation
-
Hands-on experience with vulnerability management processes

Understanding of endpoint security and EDR platforms
-
Familiarity with cloud security concepts

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written communication and documentation skills
