Job Title: Sr Program Manager

Salary Range: 120k to 145k
Position Overview:
Our client, a growing specialty bank, is seeking an experienced IT Senior Program Manager to lead a strategic, multi-year lending transformation initiative. The primary focus of this role is delivering a custom-built lending core platform that consolidates systems supporting highly specialized lending products, including asset-based lending and factoring.
This role extends beyond traditional project management. The ideal candidate is an integrative leader who combines program governance, relationship management, and project risk management to successfully deliver complex technology initiatives in a highly regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of a custom lending core platform supporting asset-based lending and factoring products.
- Manage a large-scale internally developed software transformation from MVP through ongoing enhancements.
- Establish and execute comprehensive project risk management practices across Agile delivery teams.
- Serve as the central point of integration between business stakeholders, product teams, technology, security, compliance, operations, and audit functions.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure all stakeholder concerns are considered throughout requirements, development, testing, and implementation phases.
- Partner closely with Agile Product Owners and development teams to drive execution and remove impediments.
- Manage project governance, dependencies, decision-making processes, and executive communications.
- Support additional lending technology initiatives, including technical debt reduction and future core modernization efforts.
- Communicate effectively with both executive leadership and technical teams by tailoring messaging to the needs of each audience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project or program management experience within banking or financial services.
- Experience leading large, complex technology initiatives, including:
- Core system implementations or conversions
- Internally developed software projects
- Enterprise-scale transformation programs
- Strong understanding of lending operations and banking processes.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Agile software delivery teams.
- Proficiency with:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of multiple delivery methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or SAFe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial lending, specialty lending, asset-based lending, or factoring environments.
- PMP, CAPM, SAFe, or related project management certifications.
- Experience in highly regulated environments requiring close collaboration with compliance, audit, security, and operations teams.
