Title: Epic Research Advisor/Consultant
Location: REMOTE (Regular travel required to Tampa, FL)

Overview
Gravity is supporting a leading healthcare organization in hiring an Epic Research Advisor to serve as a trusted advisor to Clinical Applications IT leadership. This role provides subject matter expertise and strategic guidance for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of Epic research functionality to support clinical research and clinical trials operations.
You’ll partner closely with research staff, clinical stakeholders, IT teams, and cross-functional leaders to streamline workflows, improve system performance and adoption, and ensure Epic research solutions align with regulatory and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with clinical research, operational, and IT stakeholders to design and implement Epic-supported research workflows.
- Serve as the SME for Epic research and clinical trials-related build and workflow optimization.
- Provide oversight across project deliverables, timelines, service quality, and stakeholder satisfaction; recommend improvements as needed.
- Act as an escalation point for issues and change requests, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
- Support service delivery, system performance, and uptime for research-related Epic functionality.
- Ensure research workflows and supporting systems meet compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations).
- Advise teams during Epic deployments, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
- Guide change management efforts to support adoption of new research-related Epic functionality.
- Identify and drive enhancements that improve quality, safety, cost-efficiency, and user experience.
- Define and monitor KPIs tied to adoption, satisfaction, uptime, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field).
- 10+ years of healthcare IT experience, including 8+ years in an Epic environment.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare IT.
- Strong background in systems implementation and integration.
- Deep knowledge of Epic research functionality and research/clinical trials workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic certifications in relevant modules, such as:
- Epic Research Tools
- Epic Clinical Trials
- Epic Beacon (plus)
- Epic Ambulatory (plus)
