Title: SAP WM/LE Consultant – SAP ECC
Location: LATAM or India (Remote Opportunity)
Type: 6-12 Month Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP WM/LE Consultant to support a large, enterprise-level organization operating across the automotive distribution, retail, and supply chain sectors. This consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, enhancing, and supporting SAP Warehouse Management and Logistics Execution solutions within an SAP ECC environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong functional knowledge of warehouse and logistics processes and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and integration partners across a complex global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP WM/LE implementation, enhancement, rollout, and production-support initiatives within SAP ECC.
- Gather business and operational requirements and translate them into functional specifications and scalable SAP solutions.
- Configure and support SAP Warehouse Management processes, including:
- Goods Receipt and Goods Issue
- Putaway and picking strategies
- Transfer orders and transfer requirements
- Stock transfers and transfer postings
- Replenishment
- Physical inventory and cycle counting
- Handling Unit Management
- Configure and support Logistics Execution processes, including:
- Inbound and outbound deliveries
- Shipping and transportation
- Packing and handling units
- Analyze existing warehouse and logistics processes and recommend system or process improvements.
- Support integrations between SAP WM/LE and other SAP modules, including SD, MM, FI, and third-party logistics applications.
- Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
- Coordinate with ABAP developers, middleware specialists, infrastructure teams, and external partners.
- Lead or support unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis for warehouse, inventory, shipping, and delivery-processing problems.
- Develop process documentation, configuration documentation, test scripts, and end-user training materials.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of SAP functional consulting experience, with significant expertise in SAP WM and LE.
- Strong hands-on configuration experience within SAP ECC.
- Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end warehouse and logistics processes.
- Strong understanding of warehouse structures, including plants, storage locations, warehouse numbers, storage types, storage sections, and bins.
- Experience with transfer orders, putaway strategies, picking strategies, replenishment, inventory counting, and stock movements.
- Experience configuring shipping, deliveries, packing, routes, and transportation processes.
- Strong integration knowledge across SAP WM, LE, MM, and SD.
- Experience producing functional specifications and working with technical development teams.
