Lead Analyst – Financial & Business Operations
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Job Type: Contract (6 months)
Background
We are looking for a Lead Analyst – Financial & Business Operations to support a high-visibility team within a global travel and hospitality organization.
This role sits at the intersection of financial operations, vendor and contract administration, reporting, data analysis, and business operations. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys taking ownership, working across multiple teams, and driving important operational activities through completion.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage priorities, analyze information, communicate with stakeholders, and make sure critical action items don’t fall through the cracks.
Day to Day
- Support financial operations including budget tracking, spend analysis, forecasting, and recurring reporting
- Develop and maintain financial, operational, and executive-level reports
- Analyze business data and identify trends, discrepancies, and areas requiring follow-up
- Support vendor, contract, sourcing, and procurement-related activities
- Track contracts, approvals, deliverables, and outstanding action items
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Technology, Legal, and other business functions
- Coordinate information and follow-ups across multiple teams to keep initiatives moving
- Create reports, dashboards, and analysis using Excel and other data/reporting tools
- Help maintain and improve recurring business processes
- Take ownership of operational workstreams with limited day-to-day direction
- Provide clear updates and reporting to leadership
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, business operations, sourcing/procurement, vendor management, project analysis, or a related area
- Strong experience with financial and operational reporting
- Experience working with budgets, spend, forecasts, or other financial data
- Exposure to vendor management, contracts, procurement, or sourcing operations
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, or executive-level analysis
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and drive follow-up with stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while remaining highly hands-on and execution-focused
Preferred Experience
- Power BI or similar business intelligence/reporting tools
- SQL or experience working with large datasets
- Experience supporting Technology, Digital, or other complex corporate organizations
- Experience working across Finance, Procurement, Legal, vendors, and business stakeholders
