Job Title: VP of eCommerce
Location: Charlotte, NC (company based in CLT but role is remote)
Role Summary
The VP of eCommerce will own the enterprise digital retail strategy, driving online revenue growth and delivering a seamless omnichannel customer experience. This executive will modernize dealership eCommerce capabilities, lead the launch of a new mobile app, and apply AI-driven technologies to improve conversion, personalization, and performance at scale.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and execute the enterprise eCommerce roadmap to grow online leads, digital retail transactions, and revenue.
- Lead all digital platforms, including dealership websites, digital retailing tools, third-party integrations, and the rollout of a customer-facing mobile app.
- Optimize conversion across the digital funnel (lead, finance, trade, appointment, purchase).
- Deliver a cohesive omnichannel experience across web, mobile, and in-store touchpoints.
- Leverage AI and advanced analytics to improve personalization, lead quality, attribution, and operational efficiency.
- Own digital vendor strategy across web, CRM, DMS, chat, and retailing platforms.
- Partner with marketing, analytics, operations, and sales leadership to align digital initiatives with business goals.
- Continuously evaluate emerging eCommerce, AI, and mobile trends.
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of senior leadership experience in eCommerce or digital retail.
- Proven record of scaling online revenue and customer acquisition.
- Experience launching and scaling a consumer-facing mobile app.
- Hands-on exposure to AI-driven solutions (personalization, automation, analytics, or conversational tools).
- Strong executive presence, analytical rigor, and vendor leadership.
- Experience operating in complex, multi-location or multi-brand environments preferred.
