Senior Full Stack Engineer, Python/Angular
Location: Remote (U.S. based)
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder. No sponsorship, no C2C.
The Opportunity
Own a critical, workflow driven application from day one. This isn’t a seat on a big team, it’s real ownership: you’ll work directly with the enterprise architect and technical lead to stabilize and modernize a production system built on AWS and Temporal, then help shape what comes next.
What You’ll Own
You’ll be the engineer responsible for triaging and fixing production issues, estimating work for stakeholders, and rolling out changes in stages. Once the application is stable (roughly 4 to 6 months), there’s a clear path to join a broader initiative and help build a new data product. Long term opportunity, not a quick fix and move on role.
The Stack
- Backend (60 to 75% of the role): Python, FastAPI, REST APIs
- Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, RxJS
- Workflow orchestration: Temporal, powering approval processes
- Cloud: AWS, Lambda, API Gateway, EKS/Kubernetes, Aurora PostgreSQL, Secrets Manager, ECR
- Database: PostgreSQL, relational design
Must Haves
- Strong full stack background across modern web technologies
- Python/FastAPI and Angular/TypeScript experience
- AWS experience (Azure/GCP considered)
- Comfortable working independently: prioritizing, estimating, and leading initiatives without a team underneath you
- Strong communicator. You’ll report directly to business stakeholders
Nice to Haves
- Direct Temporal experience (or strong experience with another workflow orchestration platform)
- Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Terraform)
- Observability tooling: CloudWatch, structured logging
