SAP S/4HANA Functional Transformation Lead

Overview

We are seeking a senior-level SAP S/4HANA Functional Transformation Lead to oversee the functional execution of a large-scale ERP modernization initiative.

This role will serve as the day-to-day functional leader for the S/4 program, acting as a strategic partner and driving execution across core business processes.

This is a senior functional leadership position focused on governance, process transformation, and team oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the S/4HANA functional team (configurators and analysts)

• Drive end-to-end business process transformation across:

  • Order-to-Cash (O2C)

  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

  • Record-to-Report (R2R)

• Ensure cross-functional alignment across SD, MM, and FI/CO integrations

• Establish governance, structure, and accountability within the S/4 functional workstream

• Partner closely with the Project Manager to ensure milestone execution (not a PM role)

• Facilitate business process design workshops with stakeholders

• Identify risks, resolve functional escalations, and remove blockers

• Mentor and develop functional analysts

• Serve as the primary functional escalation point during design, build, and testing phases

• Support go-live readiness and transition planning

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of SAP functional experience

• Demonstrated SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation experience

• Deep expertise in core SAP business processes:

  • Order-to-Cash (O2C)

  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

  • Record-to-Report (R2R)

• Strong understanding of cross-functional integration across:

  • SD

  • MM

  • FI/CO

• Experience leading SAP functional teams in enterprise environments

• Prior ERP transformation experience

• Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading S/4HANA workstreams

• Experience operating alongside a System Integrator (SI)

• Experience building governance models within SAP programs

• Background in large-scale enterprise SAP environments
