Job Title: IT Junior Product Owner – Aveva PI Historian
Job Type: Contract
Job Location: Brazil or United States (Remote)
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Product Owner to join a growing IT organization supporting global digital delivery initiatives. This person will help support enterprise systems, including AVEVA PI Historian, and will work closely with product and technical teams to define product direction, manage priorities, and ensure high-quality delivery of enhancements and projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requests and translate them into clear, prioritized product backlog items
- Support scrum teams through discovery, development, user acceptance testing, and launch activities
- Help define product vision and contribute to product roadmaps
- Refine and maintain backlogs to ensure work is aligned with business priorities
- Create, support, and execute test plans, validation procedures, and automation-related processes based on product requirements and acceptance criteria
- Analyze testing results and help determine whether issues are defects or enhancement requests
- Communicate changes, updates, and releases to users and stakeholders in clear business-friendly language
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure alignment during design, implementation, and launch
- Provide regular updates on work in progress, priorities, and delivery status
- Help manage scope and stakeholder expectations, including tactfully pushing back when needed
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must have 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience serving as a Product Owner in Scrum and/or SAFe environments, or equivalent direct business experience in a related area
- Strong knowledge of Agile principles and processes
- Strong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and backlog refinement
- Hands-on experience prioritizing and grooming backlogs with competing requirements
- Experience supporting delivery across development, testing, UAT, and production release
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to take ownership of issues and drive them through resolution
- Basic understanding of enterprise technology, connectivity, and operations
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Teams, Copilot, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- Certification from Scrum Alliance such as CSPO or A-CSPO
- Certification from Scaled Agile such as Certified SAFe Product Owner/Manager
- Experience leading large business or IT programs involving multiple teams
- Experience coordinating or working with offshore teams
- Experience with Jira
- Bilingual English and Portuguese skills are a strong plus
- Experience supporting maintenance, historian, or industrial technology environments is a plus
