SharePoint Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) 3x a week in office

We’re conducting a confidential search for a SharePoint Engineer on behalf of a global financial services organization with a significant Charlotte presence. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives with autonomy — you’ll lead a major intranet revamp, own a Google Drive to SharePoint Online migration, and shape the platform strategy going forward.

What You’ll Own
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of a modern SharePoint Online intranet revamp — this is the primary project and a high-visibility deliverable
- Own and execute a Google Drive to SharePoint Online migration — planning the approach, shaping the data structure, and coordinating execution with the UK engineer and internal teams
- Manage SharePoint administration end-to-end: site creation, permissions, configuration, and governance
- Build automation workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps to eliminate repetitive manual tasks and drive platform efficiency
- Collaborate directly with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Establish a 12-month platform roadmap that shifts the organization from reactive delivery to proactive platform ownership
Where You’ll Spend Your Time
?50% Migration & SharePoint Administration · ?50% Design, Architecture & Intranet Revamp
This isn’t a maintenance role. You’ll be given full admin and development rights with the expectation that you lead projects from inception to implementation with minimal day-to-day direction once plans are agreed.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- Deep SharePoint Online expertise — modern SharePoint architecture, site design, and administration are core requirements; on-premise-only experience is not a fit for this role
- Proven migration experience with unstructured file systems — specifically Google Drive to SharePoint, including data structuring and governance during migration
- Strong PowerShell administration skills — scripting for site management, configuration, and automation
- Power Automate and/or Power Apps experience — automation mindset is essential; we’re looking for someone who sees repetitive work and eliminates it
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills — you’ll work directly with product owners and business leaders, not just technical teams
Nice to Have
- Coding or scripting experience beyond PowerShell (C# or similar)
- Background in consultancy, retail, or media environments — these tend to bring portable approaches and delivery speed
- Experience leading platform strategy and roadmap planning
