Job Title: KPI Deployment Coach / POP Coach & Support (Deployment Principal)
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract with opportunity to convert to FTE (12-Month Initial Duration)
Pay Range: $80-95/HR
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence / KPI Deployment consultant to support enterprise planning and strategy deployment initiatives within a large, complex organization.
This role focuses heavily on cascading enterprise KPIs and operational objectives down through leadership teams and frontline organizations using structured deployment methodologies, KPI trees, waterfall charts, and planning frameworks.
The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating strategy deployment conversations, coaching leadership teams, and helping organizations operationalize enterprise goals into measurable frontline accountability.
This is a highly collaborative, implementation-focused role centered around coaching, facilitation, KPI deployment, and operational alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate KPI deployment and cascading activities across multiple business units
Coach leadership teams through planning and operational alignment sessions
Support enterprise strategy deployment initiatives and future-state planning
Utilize KPI trees, waterfall charts, and deployment artifacts to align operational goals
Coach teams on deployment standards, methodologies, and planning frameworks
Help teams connect enterprise objectives to frontline operational metrics
Facilitate A3 problem solving and gap-to-target discussions
Support refresh and rollout of updated deployment standards and templates
Drive cross-functional alignment and accountability across leadership teams
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Operational Excellence, Strategy Deployment, KPI Deployment, Business Planning, or related environments
Strong experience with KPI trees, metrics, and performance management frameworks
Experience facilitating planning or strategy deployment discussions with leadership teams
Strong communication and coaching skills
Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies such as A3 thinking
Ability to influence and coach director-level stakeholders
Experience working cross-functionally in large enterprise organizations
Preferred Experience
Experience with Hoshin Kanri or strategy deployment methodologies
Lean / Continuous Improvement consulting experience
Utility, manufacturing, energy, or large-enterprise operational experience
Lean Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred but not required
Work Environment
Hybrid work environment
Typically onsite 2–3 days per week in Oakland, CA
Collaboration-heavy role with frequent leadership workshops and planning sessions
