Job Title: Engineering Manager- Voice & Cloud Services
Location: Hybrid.
Job-Type: Direct Placement
Salary Range: 130k to 160k
Position Overview:
Overview
Lead and mentor a software development team while remaining hands-on in architecture, coding, and delivery. Partner with Product and Project teams to deliver secure, scalable software solutions while ensuring compliance with ISO and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers.
  • Drive Agile development practices and high-quality software delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership across web applications, APIs, microservices, and legacy systems.
  • Establish and maintain SDLC best practices, including code reviews, CI/CD, testing, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/27001 and support audit readiness.
  • Guide architecture decisions focused on scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Support telephony and VoIP integrations, including SIP and real-time audio processing.
  • Collaborate with Product, Project Management, and stakeholders to prioritize and deliver business objectives.
  • Manage hiring, performance reviews, team capacity, and workforce planning.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years of software engineering leadership experience.
  • Experience with full-stack development, APIs, Git, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
  • Experience with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001/27001 or similar compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP, SIP, and real-time audio processing.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and regulated environments.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Delphi, C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, and React.
  • SaaS product development experience.
  • DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with cloud telephony platforms such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or Twilio.
  • AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
  • Experience with public safety, emergency services, or highly regulated software environments.
