Job Title: UI Frontend Developer
Location: Remote Nearshore or US

Position Overview
We are seeking a Frontend Developer to provide software development support across multiple Digital Development PODs for a large, established organization in the automotive services and retail industry.
This individual will be responsible for building responsive, scalable, and user-friendly digital experiences. The Frontend Developer will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, product stakeholders, and other engineering team members to deliver high-quality web applications that meet both business and customer needs.
The ideal candidate has strong experience developing modern frontend applications with JavaScript and React, translating designs into reusable UI components, and optimizing applications for performance, usability, and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain responsive user-facing web applications.
• Build reusable and scalable UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks and frontend development practices.
• Translate Figma designs, wireframes, and product requirements into clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure digital experiences accurately reflect approved designs and usability standards.
• Partner with backend developers to integrate frontend applications with APIs, services, and enterprise systems.
• Participate as a member of cross-functional Digital Development PODs, contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• Optimize web applications for speed, scalability, accessibility, responsiveness, and overall usability.
• Troubleshoot application defects and resolve frontend performance or compatibility issues.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to support application quality and minimize production issues.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, and Agile delivery activities.
• Follow established software engineering standards, development methodologies, and security best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in frontend architecture, development processes, and engineering standards.

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of professional frontend or software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and modern frontend development.
• Professional experience developing applications with React.js.
• Experience building responsive web interfaces that function across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Experience developing reusable UI components and working within component-based architectures.
• Ability to integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience working with HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches.
• Experience translating UI/UX designs and wireframes into production-ready applications.
• Understanding of web performance optimization, usability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Git, code review processes, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of software engineering standards and the methodologies used to deliver web-based products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within distributed and cross-functional development teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage responsibilities across multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with Next.js, Redux, or similar React ecosystem technologies.
• Familiarity with Node.js and related frameworks.
• Experience working within Agile or Scrum development teams.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale digital commerce, retail, automotive, or customer-facing web platforms.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and automated deployment processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
