Full Stack Developer – Backend Focus

Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) | Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire

We’re partnering with a team standing up a Rapid Innovation group focused on delivering quick, high-impact applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to the data, designing APIs, and building scalable backend services.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead backend development using Node.js and SQL
• Design and build APIs, services, and data models
• Support frontend development in Angular (20–25% of your time)
• Enhance an existing portfolio of custom applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver working solutions quickly
• Use AI tools to increase development speed and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of backend-heavy full stack development
• Strong experience with Node.js and API development
• Advanced SQL skills (writing, optimizing, troubleshooting queries)
• Experience building scalable backend systems
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, less structured environments

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating AI/ML APIs
• Background in operational or data-heavy systems
• Experience in prototyping or greenfield builds
