Sr. Integrated Device Engineer

Overview
This role is responsible for the engineering of integrated clinical devices across the organization, including solution architecture, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation to support clinical device needs. Devices may include (but are not limited to) vitals, audiometers, payment solutions, and telehealth technologies. The position also provides Tier 3 engineering support to other teams for both existing and new technologies, helping ensure stable, secure, and scalable device integration in an enterprise environment.
Required Skills
- Engineering and integration of clinical/connected devices across their full lifecycle (deployment, security, maintenance, and operational support).
- Ability to architect, configure, test, troubleshoot, and implement integrated device solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Strong Microsoft enterprise support experience, including:
- Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
- Group Policy
- Microsoft Office products
- Citrix
- Print servers
- Anti-virus technologies
- Advanced troubleshooting skills, including escalation-level (Tier 3) support for sophisticated technical issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a transactional, high-volume, high-availability production environment.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally (network services, software systems engineering, application development) to restore service and resolve root causes.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience researching and designing best-fit infrastructure, network, database, and/or security architectures to support device integrations.
- Experience producing technical documentation, instructions, and training materials for support personnel.
- Experience providing product feedback to product development and quality assurance teams (design issues, investigations, solution development).
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related degree (or equivalent relevant experience and accomplishments).
- 3+ years of relevant IT experience engineering application-integrated devices in an enterprise environment using Microsoft technologies.
Other Requirements
- Working knowledge of device technologies, including drivers, network components, software, management solutions, and connection methods.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal English), including experience creating technical presentations and delivering them to groups.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-reliant, self-motivated, with a “can do” attitude.
- Proven ability to manage multiple project deliverables across multiple projects effectively.
- Ability to obtain required application proficiencies within defined timeframes.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals across a wide range of technical and management levels.
- Seeks senior-level guidance from senior team members as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
