IT Strategy & Integration Manager (Healthcare M&A / IT Due Diligence) — Contract (Remote, EST Preferred)
Location: Remote (ideally EST; Southeastern US strongly preferred)
Contract Type: Contract (potential conversion near the 1-year assignment end)
Overview
The IT Strategy & Integration Manager will lead technology assessments for prospective and newly acquired health systems, performing comprehensive gap analyses between acquired environments and Existing Health technology standards. This role translates assessment findings into actionable demand requests, business cases, and integration roadmaps, then guides those initiatives through IT governance and demand management processes. Serving as the primary liaison across acquisition stakeholders, enterprise architecture, applications, and operational leaders, this individual will drive effective technology integration and standardization while operating as a hands-on, detail-oriented individual contributor.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in gap analysis and business process assessment.
- 5+ years of experience in IT due diligence.
- 3+ years of ServiceNow experience.
- Experience assessing and comparing:
- Applications, infrastructure, and integrations
- Cybersecurity considerations
- Data platforms and clinical systems
- Ability to identify and analyze gaps, risks, redundancies, costs, and opportunities, and translate findings into actionable recommendations (retain, replace, sunset, integrate).
- Strong experience in:
- Application portfolio management
- Demand management / governance
- Stakeholder management across clinical and operational areas
Nice to Have Skills
- Certifications such as PMP, CBAP, TOGAF, Lean, or Prosci
- Experience with healthcare interoperability (e.g., HL7, FHIR, interfaces)
Strongly Preferred
- Hospital acquisition and integration experience
- Enterprise architecture background
- Epic ecosystem knowledge
- 2–3+ years of healthcare provider IT experience preferred as a baseline, with stronger consideration for candidates who bring deep due diligence, gap assessment, and ServiceNow experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field
- Master’s degree is not required; relevant on-the-job experience is prioritized
Other Requirements
- Comfort operating as a hands-on individual contributor who can work independently through complex application and integration workflows
- Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews, gather requirements, and document current-state processes and applications
- Ability to build and maintain an overall integration roadmap, tracking dependencies, timelines, and business impacts while supporting synergy and value realization targets
