Systems Administrator II
Location: Hybrid (Palm Springs, CA – ~2 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $85,000 – $120,000 annually
Our client, a large and growing healthcare organization in the Palm Springs area, is seeking a Systems Administrator II to join its Infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern enterprise environment supporting critical systems, cloud initiatives, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Windows systems administration experience who enjoys working across multiple technologies rather than being siloed into a single specialty. You’ll collaborate with infrastructure, desktop, networking, security, and application teams while helping support enterprise initiatives impacting thousands of users.
Responsibilities

Administer and support enterprise Windows Server infrastructure

Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft technologies

Support Azure and Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive

Assist with enterprise cloud migration and Microsoft 365 rollout projects

Deploy, configure, and maintain new server infrastructure and enterprise applications
-
Coordinate upgrades and implementations with third-party vendors
-
Perform backup administration and file restores
-
Support SAN storage environments and work with hardware vendors on troubleshooting
-
Participate in incident response activities alongside the security team

Assist with VMware migration initiatives to Nutanix

Participate in an on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance windows
Required Qualifications
-
4+ years of Systems Administration experience in an enterprise environment
-
Strong experience supporting Windows Server infrastructure
-
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
-
Microsoft 365 administration experience (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)

Working knowledge of Azure administration

Experience supporting virtualization technologies (VMware required; Nutanix is a plus)

Basic Linux administration experience

Experience troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure and working directly with hardware/software vendors

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications

Security+ certification

CISSP or Linux certification

Nutanix experience

Experience supporting enterprise backup platforms
