Job Title: Lead Implementer

Job Type: Direct Hire
Referral Bonus: $1,800

Under the direction of the Implementation Manager, the Lead Implementer organizes and facilitates the implementation of our client’s software and drives operational productivity through the development of standard operating practices and staff training.  


  • Familiar with a variety of veterinary industry concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on broad experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals 
  • Understanding of veterinary practice workflows and software requirements.
  • Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered a top-level, senior contributor/specialist 
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of computers 
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of business-specific systems, processes, and content as needed 
  • Ability to be self-driven, detail-oriented, organized, multitask, and prioritize jobs  
  • Ability to work and manage in a collaborative team environment 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of experience and education 
  • Proficient in written and verbal communications  
  • A high level of veterinary software knowledge is required, other Veterinary PIMS an advantage
  • Attend all internal training sessions for new builds and enhancements and keep up to date to ensure the most accurate training of location staff.


  • Ensures timely completion of project tasks, maintains project plans, and establishes implementation best practices
  • Ability to manage and prioritize your time – essential to role
  • Work closely with the project team to configure the site to the client’s exact specifications and site customizations.   Including but not limited to:  Creating a schedule, appointment types, encounter templates, consent forms, macros, packages, product and service pricing lists, setting up protocols, reminders, reporting, and integrations.
  • Create boarding and NOVA templates per client’s needs and specifications – if applicable.
  • Work with Bitwerx and our data team to ensure successful data migration and data syncs. Including but not limited to training the client on how to maintain and /or make changes after the implementation process is complete.
  • Facilitate and lead all staff training via webinars, in-person meetings, and other online coursework providing additional training meetings and/or sessions as necessary. 
  • Ensures accountability in the completion of self-paced training modules
  • Assist in developing SOPs to drive operation efficiency
  • Facilitate project planning meetings and enable communication of project status to operational leaders & managers
  • Assists with change management when migrating practices and coding structure.
  • Work with the project team to develop a product and service code list for both de Novo’s and existing locations. They work closely to set up pricing and upload the lists including data checking.
  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves barriers for implementation projects
  • Evaluates practice needs, develop systems that support business processes and effectively communicate to managers on required product development
  • Must be collaborative, reliable, and responsive
  • Solution orientated and empathetic
  • Build relationships with all members of the practice team to promote and support a positive team culture
  • Provides expert guidance, technical support, and training for end-users
  • Supervises trainers by monitoring performance and ensuring the success of a project
  • Manage travel expenses in accordance with company policy


  • Some travel could be required outside of typical business hours, depending on the hospital’s operating hours.
  • Working/travel hours have the potential to extend into weekends.
