Job Title: Epic Willow Pharmacist Analyst Lead

Salary Range: 130k-160k

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an Epic Willow Pharmacist Analyst Lead to oversee the Epic Willow applications, Clinical Decision Support (CDS), and medication management technology. This role provides technical and Epic expertise to the Director of Pharmacy and collaborates with pharmacy informatics, operations, and medical staff leadership to optimize workflows and decision support tools. The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, Epic Willow expertise, and a passion for improving patient care through technology.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee Epic Willow, Beacon, BPA, and Reporting Workbench applications related to clinical decision support and medication management.
- Act as a liaison between Pharmacy, Clinical Decision Support leaders, and IS teams to implement best practices.
- Provide guidance on Willow medication management workflows, pharmacy technology, and Epic decision support.
- Lead and mentor Willow analysts, ensuring adherence to IS change management and project management office (PMO) guidelines.
- Manage new hire Epic Willow training and ensure smooth post-training support.
- Develop Epic design templates to streamline documentation and system build processes.
- Collaborate with IS staff, vendors, and clinical users to identify system needs, modifications, and solutions.
- Ensure proper resource allocation, assign tasks, and oversee timely implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.
- Lead projects focused on medication-related technology improvements and decision support enhancements.
- Facilitate compliance with Code of Conduct, regulatory policies, and internal standards.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Pharmacy degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Current Pharmacist license in California and Epic Willow Certification.
- 3+ years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.
- Experience with Epic Willow workflows, CDS, and pharmacy informatics.
- Strong project management and leadership skills in clinical IT implementations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Additional Epic certifications or badges (Best Practice Alerts, Reporting Workbench, Clarity, Beacon).
- Experience as an Epic Willow Analyst with expertise in decision support tools.
- Skilled in the design, build, and implementation of CDS features in Epic (BPAs, alternative alerts, order sets, scoring systems).
- Ability to analyze reporting tools and data to assess CDS effectiveness.
- Experience managing Jira incidents, service requests, and IS projects.
Additional Expectations:
- Ability to mentor and train analysts, ensuring best practices in Epic implementation.
- Maintain strong relationships with providers, operational teams, and vendors.
- Work effectively within a fast-paced healthcare IT environment.
