Our client, a newly independent life sciences company, is seeking a transformative VP to lead corporate applications, data & enterprise architecture to lead its enterprise systems modernization. This executive will be responsible for driving ERP, analytics, and architecture initiatives while ensuring compliance with FDA-validated system requirements in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and execution of SAP S/4HANA implementation (currently underway) and other enterprise platforms (e.g., Workday).
  • Oversee application lifecycle management, enterprise architecture, and data governance across an Azure-based private cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to align technology with supply chain and manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure adherence to FDA validation and regulatory standards across all systems.
  • Manage MSPs and vendor partners to deliver scalable, cost-effective, and high-quality technology solutions.
  • Support M&A integration and transition planning for legacy systems.

About the Environment:

  • Spin-off from a legacy SAP ECC environment—undergoing rapid modernization with aggressive timelines.
  • Systems are hosted in an Azure private cloud, with cost and operational efficiency as key priorities.
  • Lean leadership model with a focus on outcomes, compliance, and strategic vendor engagement.
  • Primary operations are focused in North America and Europe

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, with expertise in ERP, enterprise architecture, and validated systems.
  • Deep experience with SAP S/4HANA, data governance, and vendor/partner management.
  • Background in life sciences or other highly regulated industries (FDA compliance required).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, manufacturing processes, and digital modernization.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field.
