Job Title: Project Manager
Job Type: 12-Month Contract
Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale software implementation projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with business goals. The Project Manager will also be responsible for resource planning, risk mitigation, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the progress of assigned projects and ensure timely delivery against milestones and deadlines.
• Coordinate effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders, ensuring the availability and efficient use of required resources.
• Monitor and manage staffing levels throughout the duration of each project, adjusting as necessary to meet timeline and contractual obligations.
• Ensure all staffing and project activities are aligned with project schedules and contractual requirements.
• Track and report on project performance, scope, cost, and risks, ensuring transparency for stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Ensure project documentation, including business and technical requirements, is clear, accurate, and usable by relevant team members.
• Guide technical teams in the development and delivery of complex, web-based computer applications.
• Utilize best practices in project management methodologies, resource management, and change management techniques.
• Maintain a deep understanding of technology platforms and business processes related to the projects being managed.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required.
  • Completion of a recognized project management curriculum preferred.
• Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on large-scale software implementation projects.
  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects or programs across various technologies and business functions.
  • Strong background in documenting technical and business requirements.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in using project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of resource planning and change management techniques.
  • Understanding of complex web-based systems and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
