Position Overview
The focus of this position is to provide program planning, resource coordination and financial management of the Team Member Health Services area. The position is accountable for leading and mentoring both clinic teams along with continuity and successful delivery of Occupational Health and Team Member Medical Clinic services throughout the organization.
Required Skills
- Five (5) years of clinic management experience as a supervisor or manager
- Demonstrated effective use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Occupational Health setting (preferred)
- Public speaking skills Background in Electronic Health Record systems for use in employee health settings
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing or other Clinical field
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee Team Member Health Services for both Occupational Health and Team Member Medical including hiring, scheduling, performance management and staff development.
- Manage and ensure compliance with Team Member Health Services financial budgets, working with the Director – Benefits & Wellness to establish and maintain annual budgetary requirements.
- Lead the Occupational Health group in the creation and implementation of programs for compliance with all federal and state regulations including OSHA and Joint Commission health compliance programs and tracking results on an organization wide basis. This includes (1) Annual Influenza compliance (2) TB testing (3) Hearing and Vision screening and protection (4) Blood and Body Fluid reporting and tracking (5) Annual Respirator FIT testing and (6) OSHA investigation and reporting along with any other regulatory compliance as required. Also, work collaboratively with Nursing Administration in the adoption of Safe Patient Handling procedures and equipment by nursing staff.
- Manage any associated Occupational Health responsibilities required for Workers Compensation related to vendor coordination for off shift on the-job injury care, Post accident Drug testing procedures and use of Occupational Health and Team Member Medical clinic for on-the- job injury triage and care during business hours. Also, participate in regular updates and reviews of the workers compensation claim status with members of HR leadership and legal staff.
- Participate in strategically identified committees across the organization on a routine basis, such as the Environment of Care Committee, as well as provide information and updates to other standing and ad hoc committees as needed.
- Work with Director – Benefits & Wellness, IT and the medical plan administrator to establish and maintain a system to track services and value provided by the Team Member Medical Clinic. Utilize system to provide ongoing claims and service analysis to HR leadership in support of strategic planning. Take steps to establish and maintain Team Member Medical Clinic provider status with medical claims carrier.
- Ensure that OH meets Strategic Workforce Management’s New Hire Created By: Dept Compensation May 25, 2023 Version: 1 Health Screening requirements through effective management of OH resources.
- Responsible for the development and timely maintenance of Employee Health Policies.
- Work closely with the supervisors of Team Member Medical Clinic and Occupational Health areas to ensure effective cross-team collaboration, leveraging any common resources and sharing of professional knowledge.
