Cyber Security Project Manager
Job Profile Summary
The CIS Project Manager is responsible for the management of the Global Information Security (GIS) portfolio. In addition to managing the GIS portfolio the CIS project manager will also be responsible for execution of specific large scale GIS projects/programs. This position reports to the IT PMO but has significant interaction with client’s CSIO.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Project Manager with cyber security experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of GIS projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The GIS Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to implement projects/programs that meet business process initiatives, drive process improvement, or safeguard our products and systems.
In addition to project delivery, this person can analyze existing project management methods to promote effective operations through standardization, improvement, simplification, discontinuance, or other methods. These methodologies will be used to manage the GIS portfolio. Including initiative prioritization, tracking multiple initiatives through the IT pipeline, and assigning projects to the appropriate PMs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Project and Coordination:
o Participates in the planning and coordination of Identity Management, Cloud Security, Security Operations, and Governance project activities.
o Performs critical tasks according to project timetable/specifications.
o Conduct Risk and Mitigation analysis and reports results to Management.
o Mainly works on day-to-day issues and tasks directly affecting the implementation of project objectives.
o The primary focus is operational and short-term, but it may also involve the development of some strategic plans.
· Portfolio Management:
o Identify and catalog all new initiatives
o Work with the executive team to prioritize and align initiatives to client’s strategy
o Report out on the overall health of the portfolio
o Balance portfolio resource allocation
· Team Leadership & Collaboration:
o Ability to lead teams and drive solutions to completion
o Ability to connect leading indicators to look around corners for upcoming issues
o Identify and communicate issues to both the working team and executive leaders
o Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
o Interacts with Project Managers, SME’s, cross functional teams, business technologists, and project staff. May also have contact with outside vendors, contractors, or consultants.
Required Qualifications:
· Education:
o Bachelor’s degree, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Experience:
o Experience working with Cyber Security, IT infrastructure, cloud services, or network implementation projects
