Job Title: Sr. Full Stack Engineer
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract
About the Role:
We’re seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Engineer to help architect, build, and scale our client’s next-generation commercial lending platform. The ideal candidate thrives across the stack—from infrastructure to UX—and brings hands-on experience developing secure, modern financial systems. You’ll play a key role in solving complex backend and frontend challenges while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using frameworks such as Django, Rails, NodeJS, and ReactJS
- Develop APIs and backend systems in Python, Ruby, Java, and JavaScript
- Orchestrate infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services like S3, SQS, DynamoDB
- Integrate with third-party platforms, including Salesforce, Auth0, Azure Active Directory, and industry APIs
- Build and optimize background task processing with tools like Celery and Sidekiq
- Monitor application performance and reliability using Datadog, Splunk, HoneyBadger
- Deploy confidently with CI/CD tools like BuildKite and GitHub Actions
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to deliver intuitive, powerful tools to our users
What You Bring:
- 7+ years of experience in a full stack engineering role
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Node.JS, React
- Fluency with datastores like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch
- Deep understanding of cloud-native systems, particularly within the AWS ecosystem
- Strong fundamentals in writing scalable, maintainable, and testable code
- Ability to move quickly and solve problems independently
Preferred Experience:
- Worked in fintech environments, particularly with systems related to payments, open banking, and modern financial APIs
- Experience developing or customizing open-source ERP platforms
- Familiarity with security best practices in financial or enterprise software
- Passion for developer experience and system observability
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Contributed to open-source projects
- Experience with event-driven architecture or microservices
- A proactive mindset and a bias for action
