Job Title: Manager, IT Security
Location: Richardson, TX (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
Employment Type: Direct-Hire

Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the organization’s evolving information security operations. This role is ideal for someone ready to step into a strategic and technical position with strong executive visibility. The SME will report to senior leadership, have no direct reports, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure enterprise-wide security readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the lead security expert across operations, threat response, and infrastructure security
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, and executive leadership to align security practices with business goals
• Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance, including PCI requirements
• Recommend and help implement security tools and process enhancements
• Deliver regular updates and insights to the CIO and Chief Legal Officer

Requirements:

• 3+ years of progressive experience in information security
• Deep knowledge of enterprise risk management, threat detection, and incident response
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Owns 3+ security certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in highly regulated industries or financial services
• Experience with cloud security and endpoint protection strategies
• Prior involvement in developing or influencing enterprise security policies
