Position Overview

Technology Lead in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling. Expert in all the FICO related areas such as AP, AR, GL, COPA, Profit Centre Accounting, Product Costing, Controlling, Material Ledger and Asset Accounting. Knowledge and experience in SAP Treasury are a plus. Deep cross module knowledge of SAP solutions covering Project Systems, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement and Order To Cash. This key role focuses on providing technology leadership within the Global Finance team, developing expert solutions for business requirements, providing global design and localization as warranted, stabilizing and enhancing the existing solution, resolving defects, production break-fixes, as well as providing recommendation regarding optimal business processes, leveraging SAP best practices. This role will collaborate with the Product Owner, Project managers, the scrum master and the business partners to understand key objectives and challenges, ensure successful outcomes, and provide the right direction in the dynamic business environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment, maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting core business applications and systems
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for solution development in the assigned area.
  • Lead assigned portions of and/or participate in the development, analysis, prioritization, and organization of specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.
  • Perform configuration of systems and manage transports and change management.
  • Guides technical delivery by applying architecture standards, enforcing code quality, and promoting best practices such as test automation and CI/CD.
  • Manage and maintain overall solution architecture, scalability, and integrity
  • Define solution limitations and requirements
  • Work with System Architects to ensure all systems integrate into the solution’s technology stack
  • Work with vendors, suppliers to evaluate options for solutions and services ensuring external requirements and features are incorporated into solution designs
  • Conducting regular reviews of systems and generating reports on efficiencies and improvement areas
  • Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures, and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation (processes, designs, etc.); provide knowledge sharing to team members.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor systems health, gather system statistics, and troubleshoot reported errors and alarms
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior team members. Serve as the first reviewer for work performed by junior team members
  • Provides hands-on support to developers (e.g., resolving technical blockers and reviewing code)
  • Stay abreast of industry and technology trends and upskill as needed to provide the latest tech

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Mathematics, Finance, Business or related field is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in the SAP Finance Applications in FICO role including 3+ years in S/4HANA.
  • Expert in all the FICO related areas such as AP, AR, GL, COPA, Profit Centre Accounting, Product Costing, Controlling, Material Ledger, Asset Accounting.
  • Deep Knowledge of SAP solutions covering Project Systems, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement and Order to Cash.
  • Understanding of SAP S/4 Treasury (TRM) is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with FSCM and Credit Management functions and concepts.
  • Strong understanding of Period Close procedures, Group Reporting and Consolidations.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Security and Master Data management
  • Experience with SAP Analytic Cloud is a plus
  • Experience with complimentary systems and SaaS applications such as Concur, Open Text, Ariba, Accuity, Blackline, Bloomberg, and SWIFT preferred.
  • Knowledge of standard SAP localizations for major geographical areas.
  • Provide solutions for major decision points like M&As, Divestitures and Joint Ventures.
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks such as Kanban as well as use of tools like Jira and Service Now.
  • Facilitate work and resource estimation, track progress, provide escalations and status updates.
  • Strong verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team across the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities
