About the Job
We are partnering with a rapidly growing organization to identify a Director of Information Technology to lead its IT function. This individual will have a track record of leading IT teams that add value to organizations. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking IT strategy that aligns with business goals and drives long-term value.

  • Set the direction for IT operations by defining goals, policies, and procedures that support scalable growth.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party technology partners, overseeing service quality, data security, and cost efficiency.

  • Collaborate with internal leaders and external vendors to assess future technology needs, including systems and infrastructure to support business expansion.

  • Offer guidance on strategic technology initiatives and keep the organization informed on emerging IT trends.

  • Oversee the IT budget, resource allocation, and performance indicators to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Work with IT providers to ensure systems and infrastructure are secure, reliable, scalable, and well-supported.

  • Lead efforts in digital modernization and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.

  • Introduce and adopt new tools and platforms that enhance business capabilities and competitive advantage.

  • Guide the overall direction and administration of ERP systems to ensure they meet current and evolving business requirements.

  • Create and enforce IT policies, standards, and governance protocols that meet regulatory and industry standards.

  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team and manage vendor relationships to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and learning.

  • Act as a key liaison between IT and business leadership to align priorities and drive collaboration across departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

  • At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in IT roles, preferably within manufacturing, industrial services, or construction.

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams and lead through influence.

  • Track record of shaping and executing strategic initiatives that align with broader organizational objectives.

  • Familiarity with SAP is a huge plus

  • Experience leading technology integration efforts during mergers or acquisitions is highly beneficial.
