 Job: Data Engineer
Location: Miami, Florida
Job Type: 12-Month Contract 
Referral Bonus: +/- $100/Month

Summary:
Gravity is seeking a talented Data Engineer who is passionate about data in all its forms. In this role, you will be part of a talented team building modern data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and distributing large datasets. The ideal candidate has broad experience in building data pipelines that scale across many data sources and consumers, along with presenting the data in visualization tools.

Responsibilities:

• Understand data models across various business domains and map them into a firmwide Reference Data system.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, and stage data from source systems using RESTful APIs, Kafka topics, etc.
• Develop and manage data processing services
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data gaps and work towards resolving them

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of professional Techno-Business Analyst experience

Business / Data Analysis

• Strong experience in analyzing complex historical (time-series) data and establish Data Quality patterns
• Ability to help setup/explain data processing architectures
• Strong understanding of complex business processes and data, preferably in financial services

Software Development 

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience
• 5+ years of experience with relational databases, schema design, including writing complex SQL and stored procedures
• Experience with REST API development
