Product Owner
Overview:
Seeking an experienced Product Owner to support a modernization initiative moving from legacy applications to modern systems. This role bridges business, tech, and stakeholders, ensuring features and user stories align with business value, risks are managed, and system dependencies are understood.
Key Responsibilities:

Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

Translate roadmap into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Maintain and prioritize the product backlog.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
-
Identify and mitigate risks; understand system dependencies and impacts of changes.
-
Participate in Scrum ceremonies; champion Agile practices.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
-
2+ years in Agile product ownership or related software development roles.
-
Strong background in insurance industry (agency experience highly desired).
-
Experience with modernization, legacy migration, or system integration projects.
-
Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
-
CSPO/PSPO preferred; JIRA experience a plus.
Preferred Skills:

Risk management and dependency awareness.
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills.
