Job Title: Senior JD Edwards E1 Software Engineer
Location: Miami, FL OR Dallas, Texas 

Company Overview:
Gravity is seeking an experienced Senior JD Edwards E1 Software Engineer to join a growing technical team. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to the full software development lifecycle, working alongside analysts, architects, and engineers to design, develop, and implement high-quality solutions for JD Edwards E1 systems.

Position Summary:
The Senior JD Edwards E1 Software Engineer will design, develop, and unit test technical solutions based on functional and technical specifications. This role requires hands-on development, advanced technical problem-solving, and the ability to provide guidance to colleagues while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Development & Design

• Perform hands-on JD Edwards E1 development, including UDOs, reports, queries, and integrations.

• Work with analysts, architects, and project managers to develop technical design documents.

• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues.

• Apply advanced IT skills to solve complex technical problems with minimal supervision.

• Gather requirements, design future-state solutions, develop objects, and support testing and post-implementation activities.

• Demonstrate understanding of interface architectural principles and best practices, including resilience, recovery, and persistence schemes.

• Adapt to new technical innovations and evolving business processes.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

• Communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Promote a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment.

Technical Skills & Tools

• JD Edwards E1 9.1 / 9.2 experience.

• Proficiency with Oracle JD Edwards E1 tools: RDA, FDA, BDA, TDA.

• Experience with JDE Orchestrator, UX One, BSFN, and BI Publisher.

• Confident creating UDOs (E1 Pages, OneView, Watchlists, etc.).

• Advanced SQL, DML, and DDL skills for data analysis, reporting, and KPI creation.

• DevOps / SDLC experience, including release management and database schema design.

• Exposure to at least three integration/orchestration tools such as JD Edwards Orchestrator, Oracle Integration Cloud, IBM App Connect Pro, SAG Web Methods, or MuleSoft.

• At least 7 years of experience with at least three of the following: REST, SOAP, OAuth 2.0, JSON, XML, XSLT, Python, Groovy, SQL, SSIS, Postman, SOAPUI, JDeveloper, SQL Studio, Visual Studio, Git (GitLab/GitHub), Oracle Cloud, Azure, AWS, Docker, EDI/X12, Cleo, SPS Commerce, Gentran.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or 7+ years of direct JD Edwards E1 development experience with relevant certifications.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant JD Edwards E1 development and technical support experience.
