Type: Contract to Hire

Company Overview:
Our client is a healthcare innovation company with the agility of a startup and the mission-driven focus of a seasoned industry leader. They foster a collaborative, transparent, and fast-paced environment where team members are encouraged to challenge assumptions, roll up their sleeves, and help shape the future of healthcare delivery. This is an opportunity to join a high-impact organization during a transformational phase—where your voice, insights, and initiative will be valued.

Role Summary:
The Process Engineer will play a key role in analyzing, designing, and improving operational workflows across both healthcare operations and technology functions. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate current processes, document workflows, and lead efforts to implement sustainable, compliant, and scalable solutions. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong documentation skills, experience navigating stakeholder dynamics, and a passion for operational excellence in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document current-state business processes, identifying inefficiencies, risks, and gaps.
  • Design optimized future-state workflows that align with strategic goals and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Support solicitations, RFPs, and vendor evaluations by defining and documenting technical and business requirements.
  • Work across clinical, tech, and administrative teams to gather insights, map processes, and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Develop clear process documentation (flowcharts, SOPs, etc.) using tools like Visio, LucidChart, or BPMN software.
  • Facilitate adoption of new processes through training, communication, and change management support.
  • Monitor, track, and report on performance improvements using key operational metrics.
  • Ensure all workflows are compliant with HIPAA, HITRUST, and other regulatory frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering, operations consulting, or business process improvement.
  • Proven experience supporting solicitations, vendor evaluations, and RFP processes.
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare operations and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST preferred).
  • Skilled in process documentation and mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills—able to translate technical detail into clear documentation.
  • Experience working in dynamic, startup-like environments, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and limited structure.
  • Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across clinical, technical, and operational teams.
