Job Title: Associate Corporate Counsel
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (onsite/hybrid)
Job-Type: Permanent
Salary Range: $125K – $150K
Position Overview:
We are seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to join our growing Legal Department. This role will primarily support contract review and negotiation, compliance, and legal operations, with oversight and mentorship from Senior Corporate Counsel. The role is best suited for a motivated attorney with private practice experience who is eager to gain in-house/corporate experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (customer, vendor, leasing, and service).
- Support contract lifecycle management, including maintaining templates and documentation.
- Provide legal research and guidance on regulatory, compliance, employment, and data privacy matters.
- Monitor new laws and regulations and assist with implementation of compliance processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Sales, Operations, IT, HR, and Supply Chain.
- Assist with improving Legal Department processes and supporting legal operations.
- Participate in internal training, education, and compliance initiatives.
Required Experience & Skills:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school; licensed to practice law in a U.S. state.
- 3–5 years of experience practicing law, with private practice experience required (general corporate, real estate, compliance, or transactional focus preferred).
- In-house or corporate experience a plus; litigation experience less relevant.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of data privacy, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and research skills; ability to translate legal concepts into practical business advice.
- High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Professional; experience with contract/matter management systems a plus.
