Sr. Project Manager (Data & Analytics)
Location: Remote (HQ in Knoxville, TN)

About the Role
We are seeking a full-time contract Enterprise Data Analytics Project Manager to join our Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) team. This role is critical to ensuring successful delivery of analytics initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication while maintaining rigorous documentation standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to take initiative while working within established processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including deliverables, timelines, and resource assignments
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Center of Excellence (CoE) lead, and stakeholders to define requirements and ensure project readiness
- Schedule and lead meetings to drive progress and resolve blockers
- Organize and manage project documentation within the company intranet
- Deliver weekly project status updates, including health indicators for scope, schedule, and resources
- Monitor resource allocation and capacity to optimize efficiency across projects
- Identify and mitigate risks through proactive risk management and documentation
- Ensure adherence to established processes while recommending improvements for efficiency
- Support long-term roadmap planning and backlog management for upcoming initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in data analytics or enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (primarily Waterfall; familiarity with Agile is a plus)
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and risk mitigation
- Adaptability to evolving priorities and business needs
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project management tools
- Understanding of data analytics concepts and BI tools (Power BI)
- PMP or similar project management certification is nice but not required; we use a hybrid approach
- Experience in healthcare or large-scale enterprise projects
