Job Title: Digital Operations Specialist
Type: Contract (6–8 months)
Location: Open to Hybrid or Onsite candidates local to Tampa, FL


Overview
This role serves as the connective tissue between marketing strategy and execution. The Digital Operations Specialist ensures marketing initiatives move forward on time, stakeholders stay aligned, and technical or data-related issues are addressed quickly. Acting as a right hand to senior marketing leadership, this person helps translate priorities into action while stepping in to support day-to-day digital and marketing operations as needed.


What You’ll Do
Project Coordination & Traffic Management (?50%)

  • Own day-to-day trafficking of marketing work across Web, Marketing Automation, and CRM teams.
  • Assign tasks, manage deadlines, and track progress to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Identify potential delays early and work with teams to remove blockers.
  • Keep projects organized and moving, especially when priorities shift or timelines compress.

Meetings & Stakeholder Alignment (?25%)

  • Participate in recurring team meetings to understand upcoming initiatives, dependencies, and workload.
  • Act as a point person and trusted partner for Director- and VP-level marketing leaders.
  • Translate high-level priorities into actionable tasks and follow-ups for execution teams.
  • Ensure clear communication across teams so expectations, timelines, and ownership are well understood.

Technical Troubleshooting & Ad Hoc Support (?25%)

  • Assist with tracking, troubleshooting, and resolving issues such as data discrepancies or system errors.
  • Dive into marketing systems (CRM, CMS, marketing automation tools) with guidance to diagnose issues or support execution.
  • Support ad hoc digital and marketing initiatives as needs arise, stepping in where extra help is required.
  • Provide light analysis or reporting to support decision-making and issue resolution.

Required Experience & Skills
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Technical & Functional Skills

  • 5+ years of practical experience across digital marketing channels such as Email, Web, and CRM.
  • Exposure to a broad marketing technology stack, including:
    • CRM platforms
    • CMS tools
    • Google Analytics
  • Strong project coordination and marketing traffic management experience.
  • Working knowledge of web and email accessibility requirements, including ADA and cookie compliance.
  • Marketing data analysis skills, with the ability to identify issues and trends.
  • Willingness to wear many hats, adapt quickly, and jump in where support is needed.

Communication & Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal communication skills and able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Tech-savvy problem solver who enjoys digging into issues.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Proactive, dependable, and comfortable with changing priorities.
  • Personable, collaborative, and able to build trust at all levels.
