Role: Senior Developer

• Location: Hybrid – Toronto, Canada
• Onsite Address: Toronto, ON M6K 1E9
• Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for full-time)

Why This Role Exists

The organization is seeking a Senior Developer to support and enhance its application portfolio. This role is focused on hands-on development, configuration, and database work to support ongoing system improvements, stability, and feature delivery. The developer will play a key role in maintaining and extending existing applications while partnering closely with the broader technology team.

Day-to-Day Focus

• Deliver hands-on development across application and database layers
• Implement configuration, code, and database changes in applications
• Balance backend database work with core application development
• Analyze issues, troubleshoot defects, and deliver well-structured solutions
• Collaborate with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently

Core Responsibilities

• Perform application configuration changes, code enhancements, and database updates
• Develop and maintain application code using C# and ASP.NET Web Forms
• Design, build, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures and database logic
• Maintain and enhance existing applications
• Participate in version control and code management using GitHub or similar tools
• Analyze requirements and provide effective technical solutions
• Ensure clear documentation and communication across technical stakeholders

Technical Must-Haves

• 4+ years of professional development experience
• Strong experience with C# 7.0
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Web Forms (Framework 4.7)
• Strong SQL skills with SQL Server 2019+, including stored procedures
• Experience with GitHub or other version control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ideal Background

• 3+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
  • AWS
  • Web APIs
  • XML
  • React.js
  • JavaScript
• Experience with system integrations
• Relevant technical certifications are a plus
