Job Title:   DevEx Solutions Engineer
Location:  SLC, UT
Job-Type:  6 Month Contract to Hire
Compensation:  $80-90/hr

Position Overview:  
Hiring a senior-level platform engineering or architecture leader who can combine technical depth, platform strategy, and organizational influence. You will work closely with platform engineering, developer experience, and engineering leadership to define the vision, architecture, and adoption strategy for an internal developer platform. This person will act as an internal technical leader and architect, helping our customer design a secure, resilient, and high-impact platform that becomes a core part of the engineering ecosystem. You will translate engineering goals into practical platform capabilities, establish best practices, and guide the long-term evolution of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and architecture discussions with internal engineering, platform, and developer experience stakeholders
• Design a secure, scalable, and resilient internal developer platform architecture
• Define golden paths, reusable workflows, and integration patterns that improve developer productivity and consistency
• Establish architectural standards and best practices for platform design, adoption, and long-term scalability
• Partner with engineering leaders to translate platform and developer experience goals into practical technical solutions
• Guide implementation strategy for cloud-native platform capabilities and supporting automation
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership around platform maturity and adoption
• Build reference architectures, playbooks, and reusable guidance for internal teams
• Collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, security, and leadership teams to improve outcomes at scale
• Mentor teams on platform engineering best practices, internal developer platform design, and sustainable adoption models
• Help shape the long-term roadmap for platform capabilities, governance, and AI-assisted engineering workflows

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform architecture, solutions architecture, technical consulting, platform engineering, or a related senior technical role
• Strong background in software architecture, systems design, cloud-native infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Helm
• Experience working in Kubernetes-based environments
• Proven ability to lead complex technical implementations and drive adoption of platform capabilities across engineering teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with senior technical leaders and executive stakeholders
