Job Title: Security Administrator

Gravity IT Resources is seeking a long term Security Administrator contractor for a growing client of ours. There is potential for this role to become permanent and/or evolve into larger opportunities. This role focuses on safeguarding systems, maintaining security infrastructure, and responding to incidents across a complex technical environment. 

What You’ll Do

• Investigate and resolve security alerts, vulnerabilities, and system issues
• Maintain and enhance firewall configurations, access controls, and security policies
• Track system health and security performance, providing regular updates and insight
• Create and refine documentation, procedures, and operational workflows
• Coordinate system updates and changes with internal stakeholders to minimize disruption
• Support secure connections between external partners and internal systems
• Review logs and alerts to identify, diagnose, and remediate potential threats
• Contribute to organization-wide security awareness and training efforts
• Perform in-depth analysis of incidents to determine root cause and prevention strategies

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline 
• 3+ years of experience working with network security and firewall technologies
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
