Job Title: Data Analyst / Sr. Data Analyst
Type: Direct Hire
Location: Dallas, TX

Summary:
Our client is seeking a Data Analyst or Sr. Data Analyst with strong SQL and Databricks experience to support a modern, cloud-based data environment. This role will work within a newly implemented Azure Data Lake and Customer Data Platform (CDP), helping transform raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in SQL, has hands-on experience with Databricks, and understands core data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze large datasets using Databricks (SQL and some PySpark) within an Azure Data Lake environment
• Deliver insights, reports, and dashboards driven by data from a newly implemented CDP
• Explore and validate data to ensure accuracy and usability for business needs
• Identify data quality issues and partner with engineering teams on resolution
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and support reporting needs
• Work closely with data engineers as the Databricks and Azure ecosystem evolves
• Support adoption and optimization of the new data platform across the organization

Requirements:
• Strong experience as a Data Analyst
• Expert-level SQL skills with ability to write complex queries
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data structures

Nice to Have:
• Experience with Python scripting
• Exposure Spark
