Job Title: QA Automation Analyst / Quality Assurance Consultant
Location: Remote (CST working time zone)
Contract-to-Hire

Overview:
Our customer’s IT Application Development & Integration (ADI) QA team is seeking a contractor with a strong background in Quality Assurance, testing best practices, and application validation. This role focuses on testing automated application workflows, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability across systems.

The consultant will play a key role in developing and executing test strategies, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions. This position also supports testing efforts tied to system upgrades and ongoing enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute comprehensive testing of automation solutions, including:
  • Data validation
  • Functional testing
  • Integration testing
  • Regression testing
  • Performance testing
  • Security testing
  • User acceptance testing (UAT)
• Validate data interactions within automated workflows using database concepts
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps
• Provide structure, direction, and support for automation-related project activities
• Perform testing aligned with upgrade cycles (e.g., ERP or EHR system updates) and version releases of automation platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide feedback, and ensure quality throughout the SDLC
• Contribute to test strategy development and continuous improvement of QA processes
• Stay current on QA trends, tools, and best practices
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Technical Skills:

• Automation & Scripting:
  • Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java
• Testing Tools:
  • Experience with tools such as qTest, Tosca, JIRA, and Smartsheet
• Testing Methodologies:
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with API and web services testing
• Technical Expertise:
  • Database experience, particularly SQL and platforms such as Databricks
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
  • Experience with automation platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere)
  • Exposure to testing or developing AI agents is a plus
  • Experience with reporting/visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus
