QA Analyst / Oracle ERP 
Hybrid (Knoxville)

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst – ERP is responsible for advancing, owning, and supporting quality assurance efforts across enterprise ERP initiatives. This role drives testing strategy, test execution, and coordination of testing activities to ensure solutions meet functional, performance, and quality expectations.

Testing responsibilities may include UI, integration, end-to-end, functional, performance, load, and security testing. The role works closely with engineering teams to build a comprehensive understanding of application architecture, infrastructure, networking, and testing best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

This position offers the opportunity to modernize and enhance enterprise QA practices across off-the-shelf applications, custom solutions, enterprise integrations, and legacy platforms. The ideal candidate promotes a collaborative team environment, leads by example, and approaches both complex and routine challenges with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.


About the Team

The Oracle ERP Technology team partners closely with enterprise business stakeholders to implement and support Oracle Financials modules across multiple business units.

In this role, you will evaluate testing requirements, create structured test strategies and scenarios, and provide insights that improve solution quality and design from the beginning of the development lifecycle.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and execute manual and exploratory test cases, while identifying opportunities for automation across common testing scenarios.
  • Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and business partners to understand processes, technologies, business requirements, and supported business functions.
  • Support and mentor QA team members by providing technical guidance, encouraging accountability, and fostering team development.
  • Assist in removing delivery roadblocks to support timely, high-quality product releases.
  • Lead root cause analysis, issue triage, and defect reporting activities to identify opportunities for improved solution quality.
  • Advocate for quality throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle, including production support, issue resolution, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend and support improvements to testing processes, delivery standards, and quality assurance practices.

Primary Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience; automation testing experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working with test management tools such as Tricentis qTest or similar platforms.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
  • Experience testing complex application architectures with dependencies beyond the user interface layer.
  • Experience partnering with developers and engineers to perform root cause analysis and evaluate testing coverage against requirements.
  • Experience with IBM applications (iSeries / AS400) is a plus.

Desired Skills

  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies, best practices, and testing standards.
  • Working knowledge of multiple testing types, including UI, integration, end-to-end, performance, load, functional, networking, security, and user acceptance testing.
  • Understanding of test data management and creation of data sets to support various testing scenarios.
  • Ability to define and report meaningful quality metrics that support continuous improvement and risk analysis initiatives.
  • Strong troubleshooting and defect analysis skills with the ability to identify root causes effectively.
  • Experience testing web services and APIs using tools such as Postman.
  • Strong SQL querying and data validation skills.
  • Familiarity with release management and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and microservices concepts.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases from multiple requirement sources.
  • Experience with work management and tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse technical and business teams.
