Machine Learning Engineer
Location: Remote
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Target Conversion Salary: $150,000 – $175,000
Overview
We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to support the development, deployment, and management of machine learning and AI solutions in a production environment. This role combines software engineering, machine learning, platform operations, and AI application development to help deliver scalable business solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience building and managing machine learning models, supporting production environments, and working with modern software development and deployment practices.
Required Skills & Experience
Machine Learning & AI

• 2+ years of experience building and managing machine learning models
• Experience with LLM chatbots and AI-powered business solutions

Software Engineering

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong experience with Python
• Experience with JavaScript preferred
• Experience with other modern programming languages will be considered

Platform & Infrastructure

• 2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes
• Experience monitoring and supporting machine learning models in production environments
• Experience monitoring and supporting Kubernetes applications in production environments

Development Practices

• Experience working within Agile SDLC environments
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using GitHub Actions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting machine learning applications in production environments
• Experience deploying, managing, and monitoring AI and machine learning solutions
• Experience working across software engineering, machine learning, and platform operations teams
