Manager, Finance Technology (Workday Financials)
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid onsite)

Overview

Seeking a Manager of Finance Technology to lead the strategy, support, and optimization of Workday Financials. This role will oversee a team responsible for finance technology solutions, drive financial systems transformation initiatives, and partner closely with finance and technology leaders to improve processes, data integrity, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap, strategy, and prioritization for Workday Financials and related finance technology products.

  • Lead day-to-day operations, support, and continuous improvement efforts across finance systems.

  • Partner with finance, accounting, and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions and drive adoption.

  • Oversee system integrations, data migrations, validations, and ongoing data quality initiatives.

  • Manage Workday releases, enhancements, testing, and production support activities.

  • Develop governance processes, maintain documentation, and support project prioritization.

  • Lead and mentor a team of Workday and finance technology professionals.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex issues and provide executive-level status reporting.

  • Manage vendor relationships and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing technology teams.

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday experience, preferably with Workday Financials.

  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including General Ledger, AP, AR, Procurement, Expense Management, Tax, and Fixed Assets.

  • Experience leading technology projects from planning through implementation and support.

  • Knowledge of data migration, integration, validation, and third-party system connectivity.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Workday Pro certifications preferred.
