Job Title: Project Manager – Warehouse Automation 
Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid)
Type: Contract

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a PMP-certified Project Manager to lead a high-visibility warehouse automation initiative involving laser-guided vehicles (LGVs). This PM will bring structure to a fast-moving environment, align warehouse and technology stakeholders, coordinate vendors, and drive planning, execution, and testing through successful delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Build and manage the project plan (scope, milestones, dependencies, timelines, deliverables)
  • Establish and maintain core PM artifacts (e.g., status reporting, RAID log, RACI, meeting cadence, action items)
  • Coordinate cross-functional work across warehouse/supply chaintechnology, and vendor teams
  • Drive accountability and follow-up to ensure work is completed on schedule
  • Coordinate and manage testing activities (planning, stakeholder participation, issue/risk tracking, documentation, and sign-offs)
  • Provide clear updates to leadership and escalate risks/issues early with recommendations
  • Support onsite readiness needs and ensure alignment with warehouse operational constraints

Required Qualifications

  • PMP certification (required)
  • 5+ years of project management experience (ability to ramp quickly is critical)
  • Experience supporting warehouse / manufacturing / supply chain / CPG environments (strong preference)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (leadership + vendor-facing)
  • Proven ability to create structure where there isn’t one (planning, governance, documentation)
  • Adaptable and flexible (can manage shifting priorities without losing control of deliverables)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to warehouse automation initiatives (LGV/AGV/robotics, material handling, WMS/WCS, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of ITIL / service management concepts (certification not required)
