Product Manager – AI / Intelligent Automation
Compensation: $150,000-$180,000
Location: Remote – U.S.
Job Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time
About the Company
Our client is a leading financial technology and B2B payments company serving businesses with technology-driven payment, commercial card, and financial management solutions. The organization is actively investing in artificial intelligence, automation, and next-generation customer experiences.
This role offers the opportunity to help shape the company’s AI product strategy while working directly with customers, executive leadership, Engineering, AI/ML, UX, Sales, and other cross-functional teams.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager – AI / Intelligent Automation to lead the strategy, development, and evolution of AI-powered product capabilities and intelligent workflows.
This is not a traditional AI strategy or innovation role. We are looking for a Product Manager who has personally built AI agents, AI-powered product features, or intelligent automations and understands how modern AI technologies can solve real customer problems.
The ideal candidate thinks like a Product Manager first and an AI practitioner second. You should be comfortable experimenting with AI, working closely with technical teams, understanding APIs and modern AI integrations, and translating customer needs into scalable product capabilities. The recruitment guide specifically emphasizes hands-on AI product experience, executive presence, and integration knowledge.
Responsibilities
-
Partner with executive leadership to translate strategic business priorities into a customer-centric product vision and roadmap.
-
Lead the discovery, design, and delivery of AI-powered experiences, intelligent agents, and workflow automation capabilities.
-
Identify opportunities to use Generative AI, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and emerging technologies to solve customer problems.
-
Conduct customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to identify product opportunities and emerging trends.
-
Engage directly with customers, prospects, partners, and commercial teams to validate product concepts and gather feedback.
-
Translate customer insights and business objectives into product requirements, user stories, prototypes, and functional specifications.
-
Create prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and early product designs to validate ideas before development.
-
Prioritize initiatives based on customer impact, commercial value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
-
Partner with Engineering, UX, AI/ML, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Implementation, and Customer Success to deliver new capabilities.
-
Work with Product Owners and Agile development teams to ensure delivery aligns with strategic product priorities.
-
Balance competing priorities across multiple stakeholders while maintaining focus on long-term product strategy and customer outcomes.
-
Define product success metrics and use adoption, engagement, customer feedback, and performance data to continuously improve the product.
-
Work with technical teams on APIs, third-party integrations, and modern AI integration frameworks.
-
Support go-to-market initiatives, including product launches, customer communications, training materials, and sales enablement.
-
Serve as a product evangelist by communicating product strategy, roadmap progress, customer value, and product capabilities to executives, customers, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of Product Management experience.
-
Demonstrated experience personally building AI agents, AI-powered product features, or intelligent automations.
-
Experience taking AI-enabled capabilities from concept or discovery through product delivery.
-
Strong understanding of how AI can be applied to solve real customer and business problems.
-
Experience with APIs, third-party integrations, or enterprise software integrations.
-
Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate product vision and strategy to executives, customers, and senior stakeholders.
-
Demonstrated ability to translate customer problems and business objectives into product strategy and execution.
-
Experience owning product roadmaps, prioritization, and product decisions.
-
Strong customer-facing Product Management experience.
-
Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Product Management experience in FinTech, payments, commercial cards, banking, SaaS, or B2B software.
-
Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, workflow automation, or intelligent automation.
-
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI integration frameworks.
-
Experience building AI-powered customer experiences or intelligent agents in a production environment.
-
Experience with customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis.
-
Experience with product positioning, value propositions, and go-to-market strategy.
-
Experience working with UX, AI/ML, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Implementation, or Customer Success teams.
-
Experience with Agile product development.
-
Active use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Copilot in day-to-day work.
-
Experience independently experimenting with AI agents or automations outside of formal work responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
The strongest candidates will be builders and early adopters of AI, not candidates whose AI experience is limited to using prompting tools. You should be able to demonstrate something you have actually built, explain the customer problem it addressed, and articulate how you balanced technical feasibility with business value.
You should also be comfortable operating in a highly visible environment, presenting product strategy to executives, engaging directly with customers, and working closely with technical teams to turn emerging AI capabilities into practical products.
Why Join
-
Remote opportunity with national scope.
-
High visibility with executive leadership.
-
Opportunity to build and launch real AI-powered product capabilities.
-
Ownership of a customer-facing product portfolio.
