Job Title: Senior QA Engineer (Automation & Mobile Focus)
Location: South America (Remote with EST Working Hours)
Job Type: 6-Month Contract
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join a growing development team that is transitioning from manual to automated testing.
This is a high-impact role where you will take ownership of automated testing strategies for mobile and web applications, helping build scalable frameworks and processes to increase test coverage and execution speed.
Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of automated test frameworks, with a focus on mobile platforms (Android and iOS).
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and UI testing across mobile and web platforms.
• Build, maintain, and improve automated test suites using Playwright, Appium, and XCUITest.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and offshore QA team members to ensure product quality.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging tools such as KaneAI by LambdaTest for GenAI-based testing enhancements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA best practices, tools, and processes.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in automated testing, with a strong focus on mobile applications.
• Proven experience with Appium (Android) and XCUITest (iOS) in a real-world production environment.
• Proficiency with Playwright or similar modern test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and SDLC.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively with distributed teams across time zones.
• Comfortable working during U.S. Eastern Time Zone (EST) hours.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to KaneAI by LambdaTest or similar GenAI-driven testing platforms.
• Experience in testing both consumer-facing mobile apps and responsive web applications.
