IT Risk Analyst

6-Month Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Risk Analyst II to join our team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you’ll help safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance by assessing, monitoring, and managing security risks across the organization’s information systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess security risks across systems and their full lifecycle.

• Identify and document sensitive data being stored, processed, or transmitted.

• Apply security principles such as least privilege and least functionality.

• Support incident response by recognizing and reacting to cybersecurity threats.

• Provide actionable risk insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive risk management procedures, including:

  • Evaluating risk significance

  • Defining mitigation strategies and acceptable risk tolerance

  • Implementing ongoing monitoring practices

  • Ensuring oversight of the risk management strategy

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Security Risk Analysis or Information Security

• Strong understanding of:

  • Cybersecurity principles

  • Vendor risk management

  • Risk management frameworks

• Experience in:

  • Information system lifecycle management

  • Vendor lifecycle management

• Ability to clearly communicate technical risk scenarios to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and dedicated to continuous improvement

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree (required)

Certifications (required):

• CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)

• CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Healthcare IT Technician (or equivalent)

• Note: Two certifications are required
